Celebrating a Decade of Impact
Founded in 2016, the National Black Prosecutors Foundation (NBPF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing scholarships, fellowships, and mentorship to law students who demonstrate a desire to serve the community as prosecutors.
The NBPF is the charitable arm of the National Black Prosecutors Association (NBPA) — the only organization dedicated to the recruitment, retention, and advancement of Black prosecutors at every level of government.
Through our Scholarship Program and Fellowship Program, we provide law students not only with financial support, but with mentorship, placement at prosecutors’ offices across the country, and a professional community that prepares them to lead.
We are celebrating a decade of impact this year. Over the past 10 years, we have provided 33 law students financial awards through our scholarship and fellowship programs. Through donations and strategic partnerships, the NBPF has awarded over $80,000 to scholars and fellows to assist them with their law school expenses and ease the financial burden of unpaid internships at prosecuting offices.
As we celebrate the NBPF's 10th Anniversary, we look forward to another #DecadeofImpact with the following goals in mind:
Expand Support. Ensure broader access to prosecution careers for diverse candidates.
Increase Awards. Grow the number of scholarships and fellowships awarded annually.
Strengthen Partnerships. New collaborations with law schools and corporations.
Sustainable Mentorship. Establish an ongoing mentorship program for scholars and fellows.
Justice is not just a principle — it is a practice, built one career at a time. We hope you will join us in this milestone moment as we invest in the prosecutors who will serve the community.
