Jayda Peets

Jayda is a May 2026 graduate of William & Mary Law School, where she was a Teaching Assistant for Trial Advocacy  and served on the National Trial Team. She previously interned at the Williamsburg Commonwealth Attorney’s Office in Virginia, the New York Attorney General’s Office, and for a justice at the Virginia Supreme Court.

The Williamsburg Commonwealth Attorney described Jayda as “exceptionally dedicated,” “thoughtful,” and “principled.” He described Jayda’s “human centered approach to prosecution” as one that “strengthen the institutional accountability and reflects the very ethical [standards] the NBPF seeks to cultivate.”

Jayda is this year’s winner of the NBPF Arthur L. Burnett, Sr. Bar Scholarship. She plans to begin her career as a prosecutor at the Bronx District Attorney’s Office, in Bronx, New York.
